A 25-year-old man in China has been arrested for allegedly stealing a number of wallets containing money and bank cards to finance his intensive travels all over the world.
The suspect, recognized solely by his surname An, is a graduate of a prestigious college in Shanghai and works in human sources at a significant firm within the metropolis.
In keeping with the South China Morning Publish, An has taken over 120 home and worldwide journeys up to now three years, as reported by Shanghai TV.
Police started investigating after noticing that An’s month-to-month revenue—simply 10,000 yuan (roughly US$1,400)—was inadequate to assist such a lavish journey way of life.
He was finally caught when a job applicant, surnamed Li, reported his pockets lacking after an interview at An’s firm. Li mentioned An had acted suspiciously, and shortly after the interview, Li obtained a name from his financial institution notifying him that his bank card had been used to buy a return flight ticket overseas—beneath An’s title.
Additional investigation led police to find two further stolen wallets, belonging to people surnamed Zhou and Zhang, at An’s residence.
