China: 22 Lifeless, 3 Injured After Fireplace Erupts At Restaurant In Liaoyang


As many as 22 folks have been killed and three others have been injured after a fireplace erupted at a restaurant in Liaoyang metropolis of China’s Liaoning province on Tuesday, Xinhua reported.

Police detained the operator of the institution, in line with town authorities.

The fireplace erupted at 12:25 pm on Tuesday (native time). As many as 22 fireplace vehicles and 85 firefighters have been dispatched to the positioning of the incident, the place they swiftly extinguished the flames and carried out search-and-rescue operations, Xinhua reported.

Rescue operations have now ended. Medical specialists have been despatched to the positioning to deal with the injured and probe into the reason for the fireplace are being performed, Xinhua reported.
