President Donald Trump instructed CNBC on Thursday that he believes “the nation will heal” within the wake of conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
CNBC’s Joe Kernen stated Trump lamented Kirk’s demise in a telephone name, describing himself as “devastated.” Kernen stated Trump instructed him that Kirk helped him win the 2024 presidential election, and that he thought Kirk himself might’ve someday been president.
