Pakistan Military chief Asim Munir mocked as ‘salesman’ at dwelling for showcasing ‘uncommon earth minerals’ to Trump


Pakistani Military Chief Asim Munir confronted a pointy rebuke from Pakistani MP Aimal Wali Khan, who publicly insulted him by referring to him as a ‘salesman’.

Pakistani Military Chief Discipline Marshal Asim Munir is dealing with backlash at dwelling after presenting uncommon earth minerals to US President Donald Trump. A senator has questioned the sphere marshal’s authority to make such a gesture and criticised the optics of the occasion. 

Asim Munir mocked as ‘salesman’

Talking in Pakistan’s Parliament, Senator Aimal Wali Khan lashed out at Munir for allegedly presenting uncommon earth minerals to Trump throughout Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Washington go to. He mentioned that  Munir is behaving “like a salesman” whereas Shehbaz Sharif appeared on “like a supervisor watching the drama”. 

Khan questioned the authority and foundation on which Munir introduced uncommon minerals to Trump. The controversy erupted after a viral photograph confirmed Munir displaying colourful stones—reportedly uncommon earth minerals from Pakistan—in a briefcase to the US President within the White Home.

“Our chief of military workers is roaming round with a briefcase containing uncommon earth minerals. What a joke! It was absolute mockery. Whoever noticed that photograph thought, ‘Which chief of the military workers would go round carrying a briefcase with uncommon earth minerals?’ To me, it appeared like a giant, branded retailer – a supervisor watched on fortunately as a shopkeeper tells a buyer to buy a giant, glittery factor from him.”

“In what capability? Beneath which regulation? That is dictatorship. I’m sorry to say this isn’t democracy…is that this not contempt of parliament?” he added.

Earlier, Khan had likened Munir presenting uncommon earth minerals to Trump to an “elite designer store,” highlighting his skepticism over the sphere marshal’s involvement in issues referring to strategic sources.

Trump praises Sharif and Munir

Earlier this week, the White Home launched a photograph displaying Trump keenly inspecting a picket field containing uncommon earth minerals introduced by Munir as Sharif appeared on from the sidelines. Trump then lavishly praised Sharif and Munir.

This comes after Pakistani army engineering and development agency, Frontier Works Organisation, signed an MoU with US-based Strategic Metals to collectively discover strategic minerals in Pakistan for protection and expertise functions.

The photo-op occurred following a closed-door assembly between Pakistani leaders and President Trump on the White Home. Notably, this marked Munir’’s third go to to the US in simply 5 months, signifying Pakistan’s rising engagement with the Trump administration.
