India on Friday voted in favour of a UN Basic Meeting decision endorsing the ‘New York Declaration’ on the peaceable settlement of the Palestine challenge and the implementation of the two-state answer. The decision, launched by France, was adopted with overwhelming help, as 142 nations voted in favour, 10 towards, and 12 abstained. Amongst these opposing have been Argentina, Hungary, Israel, and the US.
