GORAKHPUR: All poultry retailers in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh have been requested on Saturday to close for 21 days following detection of avian influenza strains, H5N1 and H9N2, in chook samples from 5 localities within the metropolis.Samples have been taken at Jhungia Bazar, Aluminium Manufacturing unit space, Taramandal, Bhagat Chauraha, and Shaheed Ashfaqullah Khan Zoological Park.
