The United Nations on Friday strongly criticised United States for hanging vessels within the Caribbean and japanese Pacific allegedly carrying drug traffickers and urged it to halt the assaults, calling it “extrajudicial killings”. “These assaults — and their mounting human value — are unacceptable. The US should halt such assaults and take all measures crucial to stop the extrajudicial killing of individuals aboard these boats, regardless of the legal conduct alleged in opposition to them,” UN rights chief Volker Turk stated.
