DuPont to promote Aramids enterprise to Arclin for .8 billion


Chemical maker DuPont stated on Friday it should promote its Aramids enterprise to look Arclin for $1.8 billion.

The sale comes because the Wilmington, Delaware-based firm undergoes a broader reorganization, together with the spinoff of its electronics enterprise.

DuPont will retain the Kevlar and Nomex manufacturers from the Aramids portfolio following the sale.

The corporate expects pretax money proceeds of about $1.2 billion upon the sale’s shut, together with a observe receivable of $300 million and a non-controlling stake valued at $325 million in Arclin.
