Asia-Pacific markets rose Monday as traders welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s prolonged deadline on the imposition of fifty% tariffs on imports from the European Union.
Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 began the day 0.49% larger whereas the broader Topix index added 0.45%.
In South Korea, the Kospi index superior 0.55% in early commerce whereas the small-cap Kosdaq gained 0.95%.
Over in Australia, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 began the day flat.
Futures for Hong Kong’s Hold Seng index stood at 23,479, pointing to a weaker open in comparison with the HSI’s Friday shut of 23,601.26.
