Ravi Shastri stand to be unveiled at Wankhede, MCA to honour Mumbai greats


Former Indian coach and Mumbai cricket legend Ravi Shastri might be honored at Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, April 8. The Mumbai Cricket Affiliation (MCA) will unveil the Ravi Shastri Stand and dedicate stadium gates to Dilip Sardesai, Eknath Solkar and Diana Edulji on the iconic floor.

The ceremony might be attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. MCA President Ajinkya Naik, members of the Apex Council, officers and outstanding figures from the cricketing group may even be current. The MCA’s Apex Council accepted the proposal in its February assembly.
