Mumbai: A British nationwide working as a broadcast engineer for the IPL was discovered lifeless in his resort room at Mumbai’s Trident Resort, triggering a police investigation, officers stated.
The deceased has been recognized as Jan William Langford, 76, who had been within the metropolis for the IPL 2026 season.
Discovered Unresponsive in Resort Room
In line with police, Langford had been staying on the Trident Resort since March 24. On March 29, he was current on the Wankhede Stadium for the IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders.
After the match, he returned to his room to relaxation. Nevertheless, the following morning, repeated calls from the resort reception went unanswered. Involved employees members reached his room and, upon receiving no response, used a grasp key to enter.
