Cultural icon Zubeen Garg‘s ashes had been immersed within the Brahmaputra River by his spouse Garima on Wednesday (October 29, 2025), 37 days after he was cremated with lakhs of followers mourning his premature demise.
A particular ferry was organized and Ms. Garima, together with Garg’s sister Palme Borthakur, different kin and associates, sailed from Lachit Ghat in the direction of the center of the river in Guwahati.

After temporary rituals, the ashes had been immersed within the river from two clay pots by Ms. Dignity.
After the immersion, Ms. Garima took to “See you once more someday quickly… I will discuss reincarnation, I will write new tales for you and me. However now, we have to know what actually occurred to you on that cursed day. #JusticeForZubeenGarg,” Garima wrote.
The singer’s shut affiliate Arun Garg, whom Garg had thought of a member of the family and was among the many 4 individuals who had lit his funeral pyre, immersed the ashes in Brahmaputra in Jorhat.
Jorhat is the hometown of the singer.
The celebrated singer died underneath whereas swimming within the sea in Singapore on September 19. He had gone to the Southeast Asian nation to attend the 4th version of the North East India Competition.
