Thrissur shifts gears: From ballots to the beats of pooram

With the election marketing campaign warmth now light, Thrissur is swiftly slipping into its most vibrant temper of the 12 months—pooram fever. The town now turns its gaze to the much-awaited Thrissur Pooram, which begins on April 20 with the ceremonial Kodiyettam, ushering in days of rhythm, ritual, and dazzling spectacle.

The primary flag hoisting ceremonies will happen on the two principal taking part temples—Thiruvambady and Paramekkavu—between 11 am and 11.30 am.
