President Draupadi Murmu arrived at Air Drive Station in Haryana’s Ambala on Wednesday (October 29, 2025) morning and shall be taking a sortie in Rafale fighter jet.

“The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, will go to Ambala, Haryana tomorrow the place she is going to take a sortie in Rafale,” a press release issued on Tuesday (October 28, 2025) by the Rashtrapati Bhavan had stated.

Manufactured by French aerospace main Dassault Aviation, Rafale fighter plane had been formally inducted into the Indian Air Drive in September 2020 on the Air Drive Station, Ambala.
The primary 5 Rafale plane, which had arrived from France on July 27, 2020, had been inducted into 17 Squadron, the ‘Golden Arrows’.
The Rafale jets had been utilized in Operation Sindoor, which was launched on Could 7 to destroy a number of terror infrastructures in territories managed by Pakistan. The strikes triggered 4 days of intense clashes that ended with an understanding on stopping the army actions on Could 10.
