The Central authorities has made an advert hoc allocation of Public Distribution System (PDS) kerosene to States and Union Territories for family use, introducing a 60-day emergency measure to ease strain on cooking gasoline LPG.

The kerosene is for use for cooking and lighting wants, in keeping with an official order.
PDS kerosene shall be reintroduced quickly in 21 States and Union Territories that had beforehand been declared PDS SKO-free. The transfer is meant to make sure that households going through LPG constraints proceed to have entry to important gas for fundamental home necessities.
