MGU to carry Scaria Zacharia memorial lecture on December 15

Mahmood Kooria of the College of Edinburgh will ship a lecture on the theme “Translations on the margins: authorized commentaries and interlineations within the Indian Ocean” on the Mahatma Gandhi College (MGU) campus on Monday.

The annual memorial lecture, organized in reminiscence of Prof. Scaria Zacharia, an eminent researcher in language, tradition, translation research and social historical past, is being organized by the Inter-College Middle for Social Science Analysis and Extension (IUCSSRE), in collaboration with the Scaria Zacharia Basis and TAPASAM (Affiliation for Comparative Research). The occasion will likely be held on the Convergence Academia Advanced Seminar Corridor.

In his speech, scheduled to be held at 10:30 am, Dr. Kooria will discover the mental traditions, textual circulations, and interpretive practices that influenced authorized and scholarly exchanges throughout the Indian Ocean world.
