Eight girls employees have been killed on the Nagpur-Mumbai Expressway in Jalna district, Maharashtra, after a truck collided with a tempo by which they have been standing. The accident occurred on Jalna’s Samruddhi Freeway when the employees, ready in a facet lane to depart after work, have been struck from behind by a truck that had modified lanes, police stated.“This tragic incident resulted within the deaths of seven folks. Six or seven others sustained severe accidents… The police have taken the truck driver answerable for the accident into custody. The police have registered a case of culpable murder towards him and are continuing with additional authorized motion, together with his arrest…,” stated Ajay Kumar Bansal, superintendent of police, Jalna. Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis described the accident as “extraordinarily tragic” and prolonged his condolences to the victims and their households. “The accident on Jalna’s Samruddhi Freeway leading to 8 deaths is extraordinarily tragic. I pay my condolences to the victims. Our ideas are with the households. Injured are being handled, and native administration is coordinating. District Collector and Police Superintendent are on-site. Praying for the injured’s swift restoration. Rs 5 lakh assist might be given to the deceased’s households,” Fadnavis stated by a submit on X.
