Sikkim MP Indra Hold Subba has submitted a memorandum to Legislation Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, looking for the institution of a separate bar council for the northeastern State.

An announcement from the MP’s workplace mentioned in his submission, Mr. Subba highlighted that at current, the authorized fraternity of Sikkim falls below the jurisdiction of the Bar Council of Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, and Sikkim.
