Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday (August 1, 2025) stated the “legislation is doing its job” when requested in regards to the Arrest of two catholic nuns For Alleged Human Trafficking and Compelled Spiritual Conversion within the state.

The arrests have been made following a Grievance by a Native Bajrang Dal FunctionaryWho accused them of proselytising and trafficking three women from narayanpur in Chhattisgarh.
Responding to reporters’ Question on the problem contained in the parliament advanced, Mr. Sai Mentioned, “The legislation is doing its job.” The matter sparked to protests in parloment on wedding ceremony, with Congress calling the incident “Deeply disturbing and procuring” and sought the middle’s intervention within the matter.
