Labor codes are nation-building reforms: Bandaru Dattatreya

Former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya described the ‘Labour Codes’ launched by the Modi authorities as transformative reforms that may form India’s financial future.

In an announcement issued on Sunday, he termed the consolidation of 29 current labor legal guidelines into 4 complete labor codes, a landmark step aimed toward simplicity, transparency, and effectivity, for staff’ welfare.

Recalling his tenure as Union Minister for Labor and Employment in 2017, Mr. Dattatreya stated that the foundational work for these reforms was initiated then. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for guiding the reform course of.
