Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi on Sunday (November 2, 2025) stated he would “strongly” increase the problems in regards to the universities of the Northeast in Parliament.
Mr. Gogoi, the deputy chief of the Congress in Lok Sabha, wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi final month, expressing deep concern over the continuing administrative and institutional disaster at Tezpur College in Assam.

“Lately, many prime universities within the northeast have been within the information for the improper causes, resembling Tezpur College, NEHU and the Guwahati College. Typically it’s the motion of the Vice Chancellor which has raised issues,” he stated in a publish on X.
