Coast Guard evacuates ailing seafarer


The Indian Coast Guard evacuated a Ukrainian nationwide who had been affected by acute periumbilical ache for 2 days from the Malta-flagged vessel MT Minerva Vera,

The vessel was 100 nautical miles off Kochi and en path to Fujairah when its crew member, Milishchuk Roman, required medical evacuation. His situation was assessed by a medical assistant onboard the Indian Coast Guard ship, who administered first support and an injection earlier than the evacuation.

On arrival at Kochi port on Sunday (November 2, 2025), he was shifted to a personal hospital for additional medical remedy.
