A helicopter ferrying Maharashtra Meals and Civil Provides Minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Saturday (April 11, 2026) missed the designated helipad in Pune district and landed about 1,300 meters away in a parking zone in close by Khanwadi village. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis mentioned the incident could be probed.
Mr. Bhujbal was touring from Nashik district to Pune to attend the two hundredth delivery anniversary of social reformer Jyotiba Phule. “The pilot couldn’t spot the helipad and landed at a location meant for parking. It was a easy touchdown, and there was no situation,” Mr. Bhujpal, a senior Nationalist Congress Social gathering (NCP) chief, mentioned.
