Two arrested for on-line fraud focusing on Tirumala devotees

In a significant crackdown on on-line fraud, Tirumala II City Police arrested two males for allegedly dishonest devotees by providing VIP darshan and lodging at Tirumala on varied social media platforms.

The accused, Kamasani Pavan Kumar Reddy alias Nagaraj and Bodireddy Chennakesavulu Reddy from Chittoor district, operated a Fb web page named “Shravan Kala” and allegedly posted engaging messages on Fb, WhatsApp and Instagram, promising quick access to VIP darshan and a very good lodging.
