A Haridwar based mostly resort, located on the banks of river Ganga, canceled a collection of occasions organized forward of Christmas following protests by the Hindu teams.
Resort Bhagirathi, a property owned by Uttar Pradesh Tourism Division and run by a personal resort chain, canceled play exhibits, DJ evening and different occasions deliberate forward Christmas, an official from the resort confirmed.
The resort had marketed about its Christmas occasions on social media on which the Hindu teams objected to, he stated.
Secretary Shri Ganga Sabha, Ujjwal Pandit, in a publish on social media, warned that Christmas celebration on the banks of the Ganges wouldn’t be tolerated and requested the organizers to cancel it instantly.
