Pakistani couple elopes, crosses into Kutch on foot; detained by bsf

A Pakistani man and his girlfriend eloped from their houses and made an arduous journey on foot to the India-Pakistan border in Gujarat’s Kutch district, solely to be detained by the safety forces.

In line with the police, personnel from the Border Safety Drive (BSF) detained Popat (24) and Gauri (20) after they crossed the worldwide border on Monday (November 24, 2025).

Popat and Gauri had fled their village in Pakistan, 8 km away from the worldwide border, on Sunday (November 23, 2025) evening, and coated the gap on foot, an official from the Balasar police station mentioned.
