Man dies after being attacked with boulder in Karnataka’s Arsikere taluk


A resident of Rampura village in Arsikere taluk succumbed to accidents he suffered in an assault by an individual on the village on Saturday.

Girish, 44, died at a hospital in Bengaluru on Saturday night time. He was allegedly attacked by Ramesh, one other resident of the village.

Ramesh was reportedly quarrelling with residents of the village in an inebriated state on Saturday. Girish intervened to pacify him and suggested him to surrender alcohol. Following this, Ramesh allegedly attacked Girish with a boulder, leaving him with critical accidents.

Locals rushed him to a hospital in Arsikere, from the place he was first shifted to a hospital in Hassan and later to a hospital in Bengaluru.

Based mostly on a criticism filed by Girish’s spouse Latha, the Arsikere rural police have registered a case. Ramesh is at present on the run, the police mentioned.
