NC was ‘betrayed by supporters’, Abdullahs say, after dropping one Rajya Sabha seat from J&Okay

A day after BJP pulled a shock by successful one of many 4 Rajya Sabha. seats from Jammu and Kashmir, Nationwide Convention (NC) leaders mentioned on Saturday (October 25, 2025) that that they had been “betrayed by our personal folks”.

‘Refused BJP request’

The senior Abdullah claimed that the BJP had approached the NC forward of the polling. “They got here to us and requested us to offer away a seat and not using a contest. We refused and got here to the sector and fought,” Dr. Abdullah mentioned.

The NC gained the remaining three Rajya Sabha seats from J&Okay and Dr. Abdullah thanked the Peoples Democratic Social gathering president Mehbooba Mufti, the Congress, and Independents for “standing with” them.

‘Betrayed’

NC vice chairman and J&Okay Chief Minister Omar Abdullah mentioned the NC had been betrayed by these folks “who attended our conferences and ate with us”.

“I’m glad that not a single NC vote went astray. All of the NC voters confirmed their vote to the chief agent. It could have been higher if that they had brazenly mentioned they wished to help the BJP, like our MLA from Handwara did,”Mr. Abdullah mentioned.

Nonetheless, Handwara MLA Sajad Gani Lone, who heads the J&Okay Peoples Convention, claimed that the NC had in actual fact supported the BJP. “NC legislators assisted the BJP in securing one of many 4 seats.
