A gang of six bike-borne assailants allegedly opened hearth at a gram panchayat member in an try to kill the latter over an outdated rivalry on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Sunday, October 26.
The sufferer, recognized as Saleem Pasha, 50, was a resident of Islampur and a member of the Kannegowdanahalli gram panchayat. He sustained gunshot accidents on his proper arm, following which he was taken to a hospital for remedy. He’s reportedly out of hazard in the intervening time.
The incident occurred round 6.30 pm, when Pasha was chatting with native individuals outdoors a store at seventh cross in Islampura. The Nelamangala Rural police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the assailants.
Police suspect that the assault was carried out on account of a political rivalry. The assailants used country-made weapons within the assault, the police stated.
“We now have gathered some clues and are engaged on it to trace down the accused,” a senior police officer said.
