The safety personnel on the central jail of Parappana Agrahara in Bengaluru caught a 29-year-old jail warden red-handed whereas he allegedly tried to smuggle a cellphone for an inmate, on Thursday (October 23, 2025).
The accused, Amar Praje, was allegedly caught whereas he was attempting to get contained in the jail hoodwinking the Karnataka State Industrial Safety Power personnel. Based mostly on a suspicion, he was stopped and frisked to discover a cell phone hid in his undergarment.
He was handed over to the jail superintendent who later filed a case with the police in search of an in depth probe.
Amar is allegedly suspected to have helped inmates to smuggle contrabands contained in the jail for a worth even earlier.
