Portland Trailblazers head coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Warmth participant Terry Rozier had been individually arrested Thursday morning in reference to federal investigations into playing, a regulation enforcement official advised CNBC.
Billups, a former star participant for the Detroit Pistons who performed 17 years within the NBA, was arrested in Portland.
Rozier was arrested in Orlando, Florida.
Rozier, a 10-year NBA veteran, reportedly had been eyed for months over suspicious sports activities betting exercise associated to his play.
The U.S. Lawyer’s Workplace in Brooklyn, New York, and FBI Director Kash Patel are scheduled to carry a press convention on the instances on Thursday morning.
Billups was named NBA Finals Most Precious Participant in 2004 when the Pistons defeated the Los Angeles Lakers within the league’s finals.
