Delhi’s South Asian College pupil alleges sexual assault; FIR registered, probe underway


A feminine pupil at South Asian College in Delhi has allegedly been sexually assaulted. Police have registered an FIR, whereas the sufferer has not but given a proper assertion.

New Delhi:

A feminine pupil at South Asian College in Delhi was allegedly sexually assaulted on campus. The incident has reportedly triggered widespread pupil protests. In response to the Delhi Police, a PCR name was acquired round 3 PM on October 13 on the Maidan Garhi police station, alerting them to the alleged assault. 

The decision was made by somebody recognized to the scholar, and a police group shortly reached the college premises. “The lady has not given any assertion to this point. FIR registered, sufferer being endorsed 

Although the scholar has not but recorded an official assertion, police confirmed that an FIR has been registered. The investigation, they stated, is being carried out with “due sensitivity and precedence.”

Protests and chaos 

Following the information, a chaotic scene unfolded at SAU, with massive numbers of scholars gathering in hallways and staging a protest. Visuals from the college confirmed college students sitting on the ground, intently packed, whereas college officers tried to deal with their issues.

College responds 

In an official assertion, SAU administration stated, “The police are conducting a radical investigation into the matter, and the administration is extending full cooperation to the investigating authorities.”
