A significant mishap was averted in Haridwar on Wednesday when Arjuna Awardee and worldwide kabaddi participant Deepak Hooda was rescued from drowning within the Ganga. Hooda, who had travelled from Haryana to Haridwar, slipped into deep waters whereas taking a holy dip at Shiv Ghat, shedding his stability and being swept away by the present.
Eyewitnesses, who had accompanied Hooda, raised an alarm upon seeing him wrestle within the river. Personnel from the fortieth Battalion of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC), together with the Nationwide Catastrophe Response Pressure (NDRF), promptly responded. They efficiently rescued Hooda utilizing a raft boat and introduced him to security.

A video of the incident involving the previous captain of the Indian kabaddi crew is now going viral on social media. The footage, shared by Uttarakhand Police, reveals Deepak Hooda being swept away within the river after which being rescued. The video was posted at round 4 pm on 23 July, with the police confirming that it was a PAC crew that carried out the rescue operation.

Talking after his return house to Rohtak within the night, Hooda shared particulars of the incident. “I used to be observing a quick for Shivratri at present. Whereas taking a dip within the Ganga, I slipped and was pulled into deep water. The police personnel current there saved me. I’m extraordinarily grateful to them. By the grace of Lord Shiva, I used to be saved at present,” he stated.
Hooda hails from Rohtak in Haryana. He has served as captain of the Indian kabaddi crew and is an Asian Video games gold medallist. In recognition of his achievements, he has additionally been honoured with the Arjuna Award.
