At the very least 13 troopers have been killed in a suicide bombing in northwest Pakistan on Friday, officers confirmed to information companies. The lethal assault occurred within the restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a area that borders Afghanistan.
Whereas no group has but claimed accountability for the bombing, the realm is a recognized hotbed of militant exercise. The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also called the Pakistani Taliban, regularly carries out assaults on this area, which has seen persistent unrest.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, as safety forces cordon off the realm and start search operations. The identities of the fallen troopers weren’t instantly launched.
