The police arrested two males for allegedly assaulting a Dalit Lawyer at Nagaral Village in Shorapur Taluk of Yadgir District on Saturday.
Based on the police, they arrested Mallayya Hulkal and Arjun Divadi after a Criticism was registered by durgappa hosani, a Dalit Lawyer, Alleging that accused assaulted Him and Insulted Him. The Complainant additional mentioned that in addition they assaulted one other one that tried to guard the lawer.
A video of the incident was extensively circulated on social media, and the general public demanded immediati motion.
The Shorapur Police registered a case below Related Provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Samhita and the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
