Palghar:
The collector’s workplace in Maharashtra’s Palghar acquired a bomb risk e mail within the early hours of Tuesday, prompting the police to evacuate the premises, officers stated.
The risk turned out to be a hoax, a senior police officer stated late at night time.
An e mail was despatched to the official ID of the collectorate round 6.23 am, stating that RDX was planted on the premises and it will explode at 3.30 pm, they stated.
District Superintendent of Police Balasaheb Patil, alongside along with his senior officers, rushed to the spot and launched a search.
Groups with hand-held metallic detectors had been stationed on the collectorate, and as a precautionary measure, a QRT squad was requisitioned, Patil informed reporters.
Chief of Catastrophe Administration Cell Vivekanand Kadam stated the premises was evacuated at 11 am, and a search is underway.
Mr Patil stated the risk message turned out to be faux as no suspicious object was discovered.
He stated Palghar Police was taking the assistance of the Maharashtra cyber cell to detect the origin of the mail, and additional steps are awaited.
