We left the U.S. for Italy and pay ,850 a month for our 3-bedroom condo—we could not be happier


Again in 2003, I spent a semester in L’Aquila, Italy and fell in love with the nation. That examine overseas expertise modified the trajectory of my life. 

Two years later, I returned to pursue my grasp’s diploma in advertising administration and communications at Bocconi College in Milan. Trendy, fast-paced Milan was miles away from the sleepy, neighborly L’Aquila, and town’s nightlife really jogged my memory of my hometown of Miami. 

After I completed college, I knew I needed to remain. It was the start of a two-decade-long, and counting, love affair with Italy. I moved right here completely in 2012 after I married my Italian husband, Diego.

Why I like dwelling in Milan

I grew up in a middle-class immigrant household. The truth that I now get to frequently trip in locations like Italian Dolomites and spend weekends in Vienna isn’t one thing I take with no consideration. I really feel extremely blessed, and I could not be happier to be right here.
